Keep on Praying...

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

~ Ephesians 6:18-20 (NIV)

First Forgive...

24 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.25 But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.” ~ Mark 11:24-25 (NLT)

Rejoice in Your Confident Hope

Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. 10 Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. 11 Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.12 Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. 13 When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality. ~ Romans 12:9-12 (NLT)

Praying and Giving Thanks

The Lord's Prayer

1 One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”

2 He said to them, “When you pray, say:

“‘Father,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come.
3 Give us each day our daily bread.
4 Forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.
And lead us not into temptation.

~ Luke 11:1-4 (NIV 1984)

Filled with God

I shared a larger portion of Scripture with this verse from a different translation a couple days ago and want to share this verse today from God's Word Translation for a little different flavor of the same verse...

You will know Christ’s love, which goes far beyond any knowledge. I am praying this so that you may be completely filled with God. ~ Ephesians 3:19 (GWT)
