Have the Attitude of Jesus

5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

⁶ Though He was God,
    He did not think of equality with God
    as something to cling to.
⁷ Instead, He gave up His divine privileges;

    He took the humble position of a slave
    and was born as a human being.
When He appeared in human form,
⁸     He humbled himself in obedience to God
    and died a criminal’s death on a cross.

He Is LORD!

Form of a Servant

“Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.” Philippians 2:5-8 (ESV)

Your Attitude

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
