His Love for Us...

But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

He Died for All

And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. (NIV)

And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. (KJV)

and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. (NASB)

He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. (NLT)

and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. (ESV)

HIS Love Compels Us...

For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. ~ 2 Corinthians 5:14 (NIV)

For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: (KJV)

For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; (NASB)

Either way, Christ’s love controls us.Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. (NLT)

For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; (ESV)

The Son of God...

And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died, he said, “Surely this man was the Son of God!” ~ Mark 15:39 (NIV)

Hidden with Christ

For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

Have the Attitude of Jesus

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

Though He was God,
He did not think of equality with God
    as something to cling to.
Instead, He gave up His divine privileges;
He took the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human being.
When He appeared in human form,
He humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal’s death on a cross.

~ Philippians 2:5-8 (NLT)

The Hope of the Resurrection

13 And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. 14 For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died.
15 We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died.16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves.17 Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. 18 So encourage each other with these words.
~ 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (NLT)

United With Him

For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; for he who has died is freed from sin.
Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.
~ Romans 6:5-10 (NASB)

The Third Day

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. ~ 1 Corinthians 15:3-5 (NASB)

14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. ~ 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (NIV)

At Just the Right Time

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ~ Romans 5:6-8 (NIV)

Made Alive in the Spirit

For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit; ~ 1 Peter 3:18 (NASB)

The Resurrection of Christ

Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, ~ 1 Corinthians 15:1, 3-4 (NIV)
