Hide God's Word in our hearts through Scripture reading and memorization. Even though hard times come, we must always remember His mercies are new every morning.

Be Strong and Courageous
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.
Sounds like God is giving you assurance through His Word that He is with you in this part of your journey...this "slow down" period you have been granted. Try really hard to see it as a gift from Him, and not a hardship to bear. I know it's tough as a mother to not do everything for everybody else, but this is a time for your husband and children to learn more about serving others, including you! It's a hands on training session for them. Hope your husband will still be taking his Work & Witness trip. Do you have other family or friends to check on you or stay with you while he is gone?

Rick is still heading to Alaska next month. I don't have anyone to stay with me, but the kids will be here.
