Jars of Clay...

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

Jars of Clay

7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.  ~ 2 Corinthians 4:7-9 (NIV)

We Are the Clay

But now, O Lord, you are our Father;
    we are the clay, and you are our potter;
    we are all the work of your hand.

Not Crushed

Set Apart as Holy

20 Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable. 21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work. ~ 2 Timothy 2:20-21
