...live by the Spirit...

16 So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17 For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.

Approval of Men?

Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.

...meet the Lord...

13 Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope.

17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage each other with these words.

1 Thessalonians 4:13, 17-18 (NIV)

God is our refuges and strength...

1 God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
Selah

If My people...

..."if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

...great cloud of witnesses...

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:1-3

...we are more than conquerors...

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through HIM who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Run the Race

"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever."

Words of my mouth...

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14 (NIV)

My Prayer for you...

"My prayer for you is that you will overflow more and more with love for others and at the same time keep on growing in spiritual knowledge and insight for I want you always to see clearly the difference between right and wrong and to be inwardly clean, no one being able to criticize you from now until our Lord returns."

Philippians 1:9-10 (Living Bible)

Run...

"Run from anything that gives you the evil thoughts that young men often have, but stay close to anything that makes you want to do right. Have faith and love and enjoy the companionship of those who love the Lord and have pure hearts." 2 Timothy 2:22 (Living Bible)

Get rid of...

1 "Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. 2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, 3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good." I Peter 2:1-3

Do not be anxious

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

Temptation

"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." 1 Corinthians 10:13

Romans Road

1. "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 - that means that we have all sinned and done things that are displeasing to God. There is no one who is innocent. We have all fallen short of God's original purpose/plan for us.

2. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 - the next verse explains there are consequences for sin and they are not physical, but eternal. We know that wages are earned, a gift is offered with no strings attached - that is what Jesus has done for us.

3. "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 - Jesus' death on the cross paid for the price/penalty for our sins. Jesus' resurrection proves that God accepted Jesus' death as the payment in full for our sins.

4. "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9 - Because of Jesus' death in our place, all we have to do is believe in Him, trusting His death as the payment for our sins - and we will be saved! Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins and rescue us from eternal death and eternal separation from our Creator and Savior. Salvation, the forgiveness of sins, is available to anyone who will trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

5. "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13 - All you have to do is ask in HIS name and He hears and saves you from sin.

6. "THEREFORE, SINCE we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5:1 - Through an individual relationship with Jesus Christ we can have peace with God.

7. "THEREFORE, THERE is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Romans 8:1 - Because of Jesus' death on our behalf, we will never be condemned for our sins if we accept HIS free gift.

8. "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39 - There is a battle being faught and we must equip ourselves in Jesus, but NOTHING can separate those who have decided to follow Jesus from Jesus.

If you would like to have Jesus in your life and want a personal relationship with him you can pray this prayer below...

Dear Jesus,

I admit that I am a sinner and that I need to be forgiven. I believe that YOU are God's Son and that YOU died on the Cross for my sins. Please come into my life and forgive me of my sins, so I can become a child of God. Please fill me with YOUR Holy Spirit and give me strength to follow YOU in all I do.

Amen
